Welcome to the PCA Learning Community and Knowledge Management Portal!

To survive and grow, we are working differently.  We employ small interdisciplinary groups and task forces, we reach across the globe and across time to access information on the web, we have fewer layers of management, and our environments are changing more rapidly each year.

Successful health center organizations have developed capacity in five critical activities as described by David A. Garvin, C. Roland Christensen Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School:

  • Systematic problem solving;
  • Experimentation with new approaches;
  • Learning from past experience;
  • Learning and adapting best practice from other organizations; and
  • Transferring knowledge quickly and efficiently through their organizations.

As a health center movement, we also have the potential to share what we learn and learn from over a thousand other health centers.  Since we have common aims and share many common measures, we are ready to accelerate and intensify our learning.

This Learning Community and Knowledge Management Portal is a tool to help health center organizations grow their knowledge to become high performing learning organizations.

Welcome, and remember our motto: “Share senselessly and steal shamelessly!”
